Roots
Drawing roots has involved me in a subterranean world. In these markings I find new and intimate ground. Organic models, plants that have died and been uprooted are the basis for this work. Observing these forms, once vital, now lifeless has opened sympathetic pathways. The roots entwine, beckon and reach – a tangled journey evoking connections, essential and erotic.
